The National Sport Academy was established in 1995 as a unique and specialized learning environment within the public high school setting. Golf was introduced in 2005.

- Periodized sport training is designed to work in harmony with the demands of student athletes’ competitive sport training schedules and academic demands.
- There are three components to the National Sport Academy Golf Program: Sport Specific Training, Coaching & Leadership and Strength & Conditioning.
- National Sport Academy Golf program components take place during school class times; the annual plan is flexible and shifts depending on individual athlete needs and their competitive golf schedules.
- All golf athletes are encouraged to continue participating at their regular golf club.
Strength & Conditioning
- In-season and off-season training are designed to target the specific needs of today’s serious golf athletes and compliment the Sport Specific training. The goal is to maximize the effectiveness of all golf specific energy systems focusing on strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance and endurance.
- Currently, National Sport Academy golf student athletes train at World Health Club and Central Memorial High School.
Sport Specific Training
- Technical Development focuses on establishing a solid fundamental foundation, composure, confidence and creativity. The following themes are targeted in personal and competitive settings:

Currently, National Sport Academy golf student athletes train at Valley Ridge Golf Club, RCGA, Elbow Springs Golf Club and Eaglequest Golf Dome.
- All Sport Specific Training sessions are innovative and focused on individual needs. Athletes are challenged in a positive yet competitive environment.
*Once you are accepted into the National Sport Academy Golf Program, you will receive additional information and final fees for the mandatory golf apparel for use at all National Sport Academy Golf Training Sessions. The estimated cost of the 2011-2012 Golf Apparel Package is $300.00.
